How can I fix hair that shines red because of being stripped from when i died it black?

I have naturally dark brown, I died my hair blackish blue and hated it, so I had my hair stripped. It went gingery red. But I died over brown but it always has a horrible red glow shining through, how can i ghet rid of it?

and will it be there forever cause it doesent seem to be growing out?
