with any shade of brown hair you have to be careful because it tends to turn an orange shade with any hair dye you buy at the store, if you are going blonde I mean. Have it done by a professional.

first place you don't DYE your hair, you color it. there are so many colors and ways to go about this i would suggest that you have a pro do this for you, even beauty school can do a decent job for you and affordable at that.

if youve never done it before try something that isnt too drastic. try going either up a shade lighter, or darkening it one shade. (trying to lighten your hair too much can make it a brassy orange colour) alternatively, you can try highlights in a bright blonde, or have lowlights put in. my friend has dark brown hair and just died the underside of her hair and side bangs a plum colour that looks really cool :)
