Have any of you dark-haired brunettes dyed your hair completely blonde?

how'd it turn out? did you love it? hate it? does it look unnatural?

and if you haven't done this... what do you think of it? (i have extremely fair skin, dark brown hair, and blue-gray eyes...)

yes i do it every once in a while i like it for a short time. maybe a few months. and yes defninately do it professionally or you could end up with funny colored hair. be aware though that the first time its going to be so drastic and you will need to give it a couple of weeks to get used to. thats what happend to me. but now i go back and forth. brunette fall and winter blonde spring and summer.

the best thing for you to do is bleach it and them use a good silver toner. it will give you an awesome result! =]

Yes. I have tried to do it at home and it turns orange. I went to the salon and had it fixed and I also have fair skin...it completely washed me out. I dyed it dark again within three days.

My mom has dark brown hair and she did this when she was 16 or so. Her pictures look fabulous and she did an at home peroxide job! Your complexion sounds like it would go well with blond hair, so I say go for it. I have very dark brown hair, but my skin has a lot of gold and brown in it (I'm half japanese) and I have brown eyes. Blond doesn't look good on me for that reason (I've done blond wigs and the color looked terrible). Changing your hair color is all about having a natural pairing with your skin tone. Like I said before, I think it will look great on you!

nope. and it would look horrible on me. i have dark brown (almost black) hair and i dyed it aubern and the dye didn't even come in. so like, if i can't even do that, how am i supposed to do blonde? and also, won't i look like such a weirdo? going from black to blonde?!?! yes. i think so. but i love blonde hair. if i could pull it off, i would. but i can't, so i won't. lol.
