Hair goes gray/white because the cells of the scalp run out of melanin, which is what gives color to your skin and hair. So instead of turning a new color, your hair grows in colorless.

Lol, the greying color means that your hair, while still thankfully growing ;), is losing the ability to contain the color pigments that would make it brown, blonde, or red. The grey color is the base version of the hair follicle without those additional pigments.



If you want blue hair, there's lots of nice temporary and permanent dyes for that. :)

it wont dye blue because it has already lost pigment and it just wont allow you to color your hair. if you get it to turn , then it will probably fade within a few days.
