are there hair dyes that are permanent that are not the average shades of hair color? like blue, green, purple etc.? if so, where can i get them? i went to a few salons and they didnt have permanent dyes. if there is a website, please be specific. THANKS!!

I am a hairstylist and have never heard of bleaching your hair first to end up with blue black. Did you want more blue then black? Well I guess that is pointless now. How does your hair feel? Does it look shiny? Are you having problems with it fading?
first of all, dont go there again. it might be easier to dye your hair at home.
That sucks... well, definately don't go back! Wait a little before you change the color again though. I think you're supposed to wait two weeks, but I'm not positive- it could be less. But since your hair isn't used to that, wait a bit, then find someone you can trust, like a friend or a reccommended stylist (ask around) who can help you get the color you want. Til then, use shampoo/conditioner for color-treated hair.

Im looking for a hair colour and style change...i've had my hair highlighted blonde, all over blonde, mahogany red, bright pink tips, black and everything in between lol, my hair colour is currently (my natural) dark brown (with natural red undertones) I have fair, pale skin, med brown eyebrows (much lighter than my hair colour) and blue eyes....any suggestions? Any ideas would be good, as long as its reasonably low maintanence (I don't mind buying certain products or going to the salon for touch ups every 6-8 weeks) and no crazy colours like blue or pink, im done with those lol....look forward to hearing your ideas, please post pics too so I can get a better idea, thanks alot.

I think what you always do sounds good. Put your hair in a high, cute and sexy ponytail maybe with some blue ribbon tied in your hair. and some light eyeliner and some glittery eyeshadow. For your makeup I would outline your upper eyelid with black eyeliner. Then use a liquid silver eyeliner to draw a very fine line on top of the black. Use a dark blue color to shade in the eye lid to the crease. Then blend in a lighter blue/charcoal color into the crease and toward the brow. Lastly blend a white/silver eye shadow toward the eyebrow. It will look really awesome with your eyes. For the lips use a light gloss with a rose lip liner. Finally dust your checks lightly with a bronze colored blush. Good luck with the outfit!

get pink and blue. I did it and it looks great. remember that you must use a sulphate free shampoo or it will wash the dye out leaving you with bleach streaks in your hair. good luck and also alot of christian schools dont let people die there hair. beleive me I went to one I should know

You should check with your school about your hair. I go to public school and they tried to get me to dye my hair black. I don't most christians allow unnatural colors.

Even with your description, there are too many possible variations. One way to determine your good color is to try different colors that you think work for you and see how other people respond to you. When people say "Wow, you look good today" or something about how healthy or happy you look, that's a sign you are wearing a color that really perks you up. On the other hand, if they ask if you are tired or sad, it could be at least partly the color you are wearing.

Now, you're the type of girl I envy because you can wear any color and look fabulous. But, I recommend brown eyeliner- black is too harsh for any face. A nude toned eyeshadow- maybe a tad darker than your actual skintone. As far as blush goes, try to match the undertones in your skin- if they're more pink, peach, orangey, or bronze. If you're playing up your eyes, wear a pale pink lipgloss. If you're going for the dramatic- a darker, more raspberry color would work.
I suggest to use greens or blues and natural hues. This will make you eyes pop.

manic panic didnt show hardly at all on my med brown hair, but i used a purple.Depending how light your brown hair is using a black/blue will probably show up. wash your have as minimally as possible because it does fade fast. good luck
It will definetly show up. But if your hair is porous it may be there for a very long time. The only way to get rid of unwanted black haircolor is to go through a rigorous color lifting, then a filler, then some more lifting and then you might get your original color back. So be careful but the answer to your question is yes, it will show up.
Depending on how light brown your hair is, you may have to lighten it to get the full color effect. (They make bleaching kits for this. The store where you buy the dye should carry them.) On darker hair you'll get a blue tint but you won't get the brightness level that you see in the bottle.
As for opinions, it really is a lot of fun walking around with an "alternative" hair color. You get some stupid comments and wierd questions, but I thought it was worth it. And you can always wash it out and dye it back if you hate it. If you're in school, check out the rule book first. When my daughter dyed hers we had to fight the entire school system before she was allowed to go back to classes. They classified it under "disruptive behavior".
By the way, if you decide to go ahead with it cover everything in newspaper or plastic. No matter how careful you are, it's easy to end up with blue drips al over the bathroom.

I like hair that is naturally black. If it is dyed I can usually tell. Looks too fake, if that makes sense.
I think it looks beautiful on naturally black haired people, but the people that die their hair black look like crap.

black hair looks very good on people that are tan. But, i do not think that black hair looks good on people that have fair skin!

it definetly depends, I like black hair on certain faces...but if i had a choice I would pick darkish brown because that suits my face. In fact that was how I was born. But Black hair is also cool.
I'm not sure if you know very many Asian celebrities, but they're starting to dye their own hair blonde or light brown. In my opinion, that just looks too weird.
So I say, natural is best, and if you have black hair, you're awesome.

I think all hair colors are nice as long as they are healthy and natural. I am natural true blonde. But i love to see hispanics and orientals hair because it is so dark and shinney. and straight.

Natural blue/black is very, very cool. I would definitely consider getting some good quality blue contacts if my eyes were not already blue and I had black hair. Then, you can use a little bit more dramatic pinks and reds in your make-up and just pull it altogether to become a stunning beauty wherein, no one can question your presence. Everyone would take notice. I have known some women who were otherwise unattractive but, their black hair, make-up and style made them the hit of every party. If you've pale skin, you are set to go.

Black hair is great! I naturally have dark brown (almost black) hair and after getting caramel highlights for years I decided to go back to my natural color and everybody loves it! As soon as I did it I noticed all the celebrities went dark too!
I have medium brown shoulder length hair and blue eyes. My eyebrows are light brown, I really want to change my hair colour but do not want highlights. Any ideas which colour would suit me best? Serious answers please... I was thinking red...
i thing fiery reds go better with blue eyes and bright reds go well with green eyes.

Be careful going red it doesn't look good on everyone and sometimes it comes out other shades then red. Maybe try lightening your hair just a little to start and maybe a new haircut.

Maybe a lighter brown to match your eyebrows. I think it would look great with your blue eyes.
Talk to your hair stylist. She is a professional and can give you good advice. Most often, go with the same hair color you already have but a shade or two richer. Especially for the fall/winter, warmer tones are attractive.
