I have blue/green eyes and would like to play them up as blue. I can't find the right eye shado

I have fair/olive skin, sandy blonde hair. Dark blue looks the best but I can't figure out how to wear this color and not look overdone. Browns, pinks and golds make my eyes look irritated and puffy. I'd really like an everyday look and night time look.

I have hazel eyes, and depending on the combination I can enhance the hazel, or bring out the brown/green/blue in them. Since you have olive skin, you're definitely going to want to stay away from sky blues- they'll make your skin look more golden and enhance the green instead of the blue. Silvers, light- to mid-toned greys, and blues in the slate and navy families would probably be the best for your skin color.

A nice daytime look is a medium grey on the lid with a navy liner and either a pure black or a navy mascara. Make sure you don't use the brown-black mascaras (it's amazing how much a little thing like that will actually change eye color. Because it's right next to your iris, your eyes will tend to pick that color up first).

For nighttime, it's easy to convert this daytime look. Just sparingly apply a silver or light grey shadow from crease to brow line (try for a translucent, semi-sheer look). Then add a navy or slate blue at the corners of your lid and blend toward the middle. Poof, you're done, and you can go from day to night in less than five minutes if you're good with makeup application.

Well if you want to emphasize them as blue DON'T USE BROWN. brown is good on blue eyes but as your trying to decipher the blue from the green in your eyes it won't work. try a navy blue or shimmery white instead they should pop the blue right out.

try a shimery light blue, or shimmery off white, try and do light colors, maybe even a lavender...or if ur eyes are more green then blue try a blue eyshadow or vise versa, hope this helped!

good luck!

Why play up the blue...a green eyed girl drives me crazy. She could have me do anything for her.

The smoky, dark look always goes well, especially for a night look. For an everyday look, I always use browns and a nice blue to blend with it. Then nice, long eyelashes to go with it :)

Try a simple liquid eyeliner in sapphire/navy and apply it as close to the eyelashes as possible with some mascara and a neutral eyeshadow all across the lid. As for the face apply a foundation (not powder) with a foam brush applying it down where your skin is clear and plotting it where ever you have redness/discoloration. Finally for the lips apply a tinted lip gloss. As for the night time look simply apply a highlighter to the eyebrow bone, cheek bones and some on the inner crease of your eye that will really make them pop no matter what color they may be. For the lips at night add a more matted color that is deep. Even if you don't dig my ideas really try the highlighter!
